AuthoraCare and Inferenz leverage data and AI innovation to enhance patient engagement, streamline referrals, and improve care coordination in home-based care.
GREENSBORO, NC, UNITED STATES, October 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — AuthoraCare Collective and Inferenz announced today their ongoing collaboration to develop innovative data and artificial intelligence capabilities designed to strengthen patient engagement, support referral workflows, and enhance operational decision-making across home-based care services.
The collaboration shares lessons learned from the organizations’ efforts to build a strong data foundation and explore practical applications of AI in home-based care.
Over the past several years, AuthoraCare has pursued a strategy focused on improving access to care, strengthening connections with patients and families, and equipping care teams with better tools and information. As part of that effort, the organization has partnered with Inferenz to develop technology solutions that support these goals while remaining aligned with AuthoraCare’s mission and values.
Together, the organizations have established a secure and connected data ecosystem that brings together information from clinical, operational, and business systems. This unified foundation provides greater visibility into organizational performance and creates opportunities to explore new tools and capabilities that may improve how care is delivered and coordinated.
Built on Snowflake, the platform serves as a single source of truth across two EMRs, a patient triaging system, a state health information exchange and HR data, with a Master Patient Index that creates one unified record per patient. Dashboards across seven domains, including patient safety, quality of care, business development and revenue, now give leadership timely insights that previously required manual reporting.
Among the initiatives under development are enhanced patient engagement experiences and AI-assisted referral workflows. These are designed to support staff in managing growing volumes of information more efficiently. They are being evaluated with the goal of helping patients and families access services more quickly, while enabling care teams to focus more time on direct patient support.
Importantly, all clinical and admission decisions remain under the direction of qualified healthcare professionals. The technology is intended to support staff decision-making and workflow efficiency rather than replace human expertise and judgment.
“At AuthoraCare, we are committed to finding innovative ways to better support patients, families, referral partners, and care teams,” said Kristen Yntema, President and CEO of AuthoraCare Collective. “Our collaboration with Inferenz reflects our commitment to thoughtfully exploring emerging technologies that align with our mission and values. While several initiatives remain in development, we are encouraged by their potential to improve access to care, enhance the experience of those we serve, and support our continued growth as a provider of advanced illness care.”
The organizations’ work highlights the importance of building a strong data infrastructure before implementing AI solutions. The collaboration focuses on practical lessons learned, governance considerations, change management strategies, and approaches for evaluating technology investments in healthcare settings.
“We are proud to partner with AuthoraCare Collective. Inferenz brings healthcare data and AI expertise, a steady focus on quality and security, and a collaborative approach that keeps AuthoraCare’s mission and the needs of patients and families at the center,” said Gayatri Thakkar, CEO of Inferenz. “Our collaboration demonstrates how healthcare organizations can thoughtfully explore data and AI innovations while keeping patient needs and organizational goals at the forefront.”
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to responsible innovation, focusing on solutions that can strengthen care delivery, support healthcare professionals, and improve experiences for patients and families navigating serious illness and life’s hardest transitions.
